COVID-19 Update

Shiloh Camp is committed to the health and safety of our community

Dear Shiloh Campers, Parents, Partners, Staffers, and Friends,

Today I am reminded of a day many years ago in my college philosophy class. The bespectacled grad student who taught our class proclaimed, "Perspective is reality!" This launched a week-long debate about what truth really is. I believe how you view circumstances determine how you respond to it. The recent events surrounding the COVID-19 health crisis has dramatically impacted our world. No one has been left unaffected by these unique circumstances and that includes the ministry here at Shiloh Camp. I remain super excited about this summer! However, the current reality has led us to cancel our proposed summer schedule. This means all existing camp sessions will not be held this summer. I am as disappointed as many of you are, but look forward to plan B, which was really plan A on God's agenda. More on that later.

Camp Families: If you have paid registration for camp this summer, you may receive a refund, receive a credit to apply toward 2021 summer camp, or donate your registration fee to help cover the costs associated with our new programming for this summer. Please email or call our office at 405-858-7011 to let us know how you would like your registration fee handled or if you have any questions.

We are choosing to view this situation as an opportunity and not an obstacle. How do we remain relevant and respond to the situation like the sons of Issachar who understood the times and knew how to respond to them in 1 Chronicles 12:32?

What will we do? We are currently planning Shiloh Family Mini-Retreats, a Virtual Camp experience and some other evening and half-day experiences at Shiloh that will allow us to connect and serve the wonderful people who make up the Shiloh family while still maintaining social distancing guidelines as outlined by public officials. Check your email or our website over the next three weeks, and we'll be posting dates and opportunities to participate in a great family experience at Shiloh! We are grateful for your friendship and participation as well as your support of the ministry at Shiloh. We need and value your continued support.  Let's all make this the catalyst for an opportunity and not an obstacle! This is going to be a great summer!
